In 2017 Steeline began donating steel roofing and fixtures for small and large projects at Red Collar Rescue Inc. Biggenden. These steel products have built homes for several dogs in need.
Red Collar Rescue Inc. Biggenden is a registered non-profit and non-government funded organisation that aids several dogs around Australia. Since establishment in 2009 they have provided temporary refuge and eventually found new homes for over 3200 abandoned, abused, unwanted and death row dogs. Each dog is Vet checked, vaccinated, desexed and wormed before being made available for adoption. You can adopt seven days a week, 365 days a year, and the refuge is maintained by an unpaid elected committee. Red Collar Rescue can be found at 476 Woowoonga Hall Road, Woowoonga, just off the Isis Highway between Childers and Biggenden.
Steeline is pleased to provide Sharyn and the team with COLORBOND steel for various projects at the shelter. Our Bundaberg location had the privilege of meeting and being encouraged by one of the beautiful dogs this week. Thanks Red Collar Rescue Inc. Biggenden for all the hard work you do!
There are several ways to support this organisation. To begin with, you can go to http://redcollarrescue.org/ to adopt one of the beautiful dogs. If you can’t take care of a dog long term, consider becoming a foster parent and hosting one of the dogs whilst Red Collar Rescue finds him/her a new home. Currently, Red Collar Rescue also houses a thrift shop at 68 Mount Perry Road, North Bundaberg. This shop sells a variety of goods and all funds go back into the Red Collar Rescue organisation.
